I am not RESENTFUL of the insurance that a factory worker at John Deere gets- I am GRATEFUL. They ultimately pay us. That is why I am pro-union and buy american whenever I can. I don't think that most people know that the benefits that unions negotiated have resulted in the expansion of medicine and new technology in the US. I would much rather have everyone else have better insurance than me- I can afford it better and feel as though a factory line worker deserves all the benefits they can get.

Not to change the subject, but I am upset at GM being purchased by the Feds and am now a Ford guy. Still American cars, but Ford used to be a four letter word in our family. Aren't they the only real american private auto maker left?
I was actually talking to other readers, hoping they would note that the John Deere workers' union negotiated an excellent health insurance plan for them.

Want to know a secret? We wouldnt be having this health care crisis in the US in the first place if care were affordable for people who arent able to pay out of pocket for pretty much anything they want.
Thank you! I was sitting here thinking, 'I can't afford to go to a doctor's office here! How the h*ll am I supposed to afford a trip to wherever for surgery?'

[quote=Robplc1;9998434]You must be joking! Look at the statistics, the number one country for preventative care is the US. "Quote"

It is helpful if you are going to state things as if they are facts you should probably source it because someone will probably call you on it.

Here is an example.

France is the best and the U.S. is the worst in preventable death rankings.

That really is the interesting part. It is cheaper to pay for a flight overseas pay for a vacation and have the surgery there than it is to have the surgery here.

In a lot of cases the surgery cost 20% of what it costs here.

You see that is actually not socialized medicine. That is the free market capitalist model. Shop for the best deal. Something you can't do here under the health care monopoly.
