But there are comments on that web site and one of them pointed to this:
snopes.com: Socialism Grade Averaging
So yes, it appears to be BOGUS.
Cripes, it's hard to keep up with all the stuff thrown out here.

Agreed. And apparently, Cecile Gericke is an engineer who's helping to spread this story.

Beat me, too. I was just about to post the same link.

When will you wing nuts learn to verify and check and research and learn? Stop blindly believing every damn thing that shows up in your inbox. For crying out loud, use some critical thinking! It's not that hard!

It's ridiculous nonsense that illustrates nothing of value as it relates to real-world economics.

I don't see that this has anything to do with social programs anyway...if that was your ultimate point.

How proud are you to be played for a fool by the lazy students? You get flunked for not being able to understand what the example has to do with social programs.

It was not presented as a parable. Therefore, I could say it was dishonest.

Jill61, I wish you'd been posting here during the heyday of the crazy emails (Muzlim! A-rab! Comminist!), back during the campaign. You would have had an aneurysm or a blast, one.

It wouldn't be so freaking annoying if these people posted these things and asked if there was any truth to them, instead of making outrageous claims like, "This is not a "bogus" email", as if they'd already bothered checking for themselves. Why don't they see how it destroys everything about their reputations and every opinion they ever post here when they show themselves to be so uninterested in knowing facts, preferring ignorant rantings that are provable lies? Do they not get how stupid they look?
