Once upon a time in America, military forts were sited with only military reasons. Today, politics keep or close a base.
Today, we are faced with the battle of the ages, but not a military battle. It will be a political battle for health care. Take the big corporate profits out of it, take the politics out of it, and what will the best health care plan in America be?
A small boat can turn almost within its own length, but a mammoth ship such as the ship of healthcare in America will take years to properly turn. One degree at a time... not the all or nothing change both sides of the Congressional aisle are discussing.
Mr. Obama, if you want genuine healthcare, start slowly, put together a long term plan where the people truly will benefit and you'll have a legacy your daughters will proudly stand when they are old and say, "Our Daddy started fixing health care in America."
