How shallow of you. It's a little deeper than that. Did you watch the video? In case you didn't know this, Bill Maher is an American. He does not think he's stupid. He is basically saying that the average American that does not understand the issues needs to and just needs to sense strength. This is why they back the Republican "tough guys". Not because of where they stand on the issues but just because they get a sense of safety. He is basically bashing the democrats for appearing weak. You are a perfect example of what he's talking about. Taking a sentence out of context is not making you look smart.
