Marxist, communist, and socialist?

Can you please explain how Obama is any of these?

I cannot stomach hussein obama but I would support Bill Cosby or someone like him anytime!
Please point to any differences in ideology between Bill Cosby and Pres Obama.

Speaking of Cynthia McKinney, doesn't the Gates affair remind you of her 'capitol police' affair. She smacked a Capitol Police officer with her cell phone becuase he dared to ask her for idendtification before letting her into the capitol. Stupid is as stupid does.

Then I would hope that people stop calling Obama and Sotomayor racists.

And what's even better is that if we didn't support the Bush Administration and ALL of it's domestic and foreign policies (including the war in Iraq) for the last 8 years, we were all labeled Marxists, Communists, Socialists and were considered non-patriots, not supporting America, etc.

So basically, it all comes down to cowtowing to the extreme right-wing (and it's agenda) ALL the time, 24/7. Heaven forbid that we had the strength and courage to rise up above their control and domination.

I actually had hope that we would all come together as a country in January, but it has been demonstrated to us quite visibly that some people do NOT want to come together and that they are working intently to make America FAIL, as if that is going to help anyone. So profoundly sad that one group of Americans can HATE another group of Americans SO BADLY that they want our entire country to fail just for spite.

I can assure you that they can't. Our country is none of these and if they actually knew what any of these terms meant (other than how they've been defined Rush Limbaugh, Fox News, and the rest of the right-wing talking heads), they wouldn't use these words so simply and interchangeably.

I actually was born in a communist country and know what it's actually like. The U.S. is NOT communist, nor socialist, nor Marxist, but they are buzzwords that the extreme right-wing uses to inspire fear and hatred among their following. Fear and hate mongering is the method of operation that has worked for them in the past to get their agendas through.

P.S. - I know posters (from another internet board), women that I've posted with for at least 10 years, who live in ABSOLUTE FEAR that our country is going to h*ll in a henbasket because Obama is in office. Some have equated him to the Anti-Christ featured in the Book of Revelation, others see the end of the world coming to a close. Needless to say, I no longer post with this group of people and it is very sad as I felt that I considered them my online friends. The gap has become too wide. The craziness, fear, and exagerations are too much to take.

Funny how in the mid 90's there was such a push by white people to have Colin Powell run for president. Kind of odd since as the OP states whites fear a "black president".

I disagree, this is just one woman's point of view but her thoughts are expressed by many, more prevalent south of the Mason Dixon Line.

60 Minutes correspondent Lesley Stahl (http://www.wowowow.com/conversation/at-a-table-so-called-nyc-woman-announces-i-ll-never-vote-a-black-man-president - broken link) reports that, “I went to a very fancy-schmancy dinner party in New York the other night. And a woman at our table, in so-called liberal New York City, announced to our table that she would never vote for a black to be in the White House.” From this data point she concludes that people are feeling more free to express racist thoughts for the first time in years and wonders what it’ll mean for Barack Obama.
