I agree with you. It looks like after a disasterous week he is finally getting some things done. It is important that we get these through the Congress and on to his desk so he can sign them.

This sounds a little hateful to me. It is a good example of what you are condemning.
If Obama is right, and the country prospers, we all benefit. However, I think it is premature to start opening the champagne and start dancing. Let's see what unfolds over the next few years.
EVERY president has added to the debt. The only two presidents to have a balanced budget for one year was Nixon and Clinton. However, the aggregate of thier terms increased the debt. Republicans, myself included, were dissappointed in the spending by BOTH parties over the last 30 years and hope for some restraint in the future. Unfortunately, 85% of the revenue collected in 2018 will go to pay interest and principal on the debt, so it is like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. No nation has ever taxed and spent thier way into prosperity, and this will end up no different. The blame- everyone.
Lets see you said that it is nothing like running a house hold budget. You are correct and all the more disastrous to spend and hope to find a way to pay it off later. That's called passing the buck..
What did Bush do about health care? What has any president done about health care? I will say this Bush invested more money into Autism research than all Presidents before him combined. He at least got that 1 thing right.
Passing bills with no foreseeable way to pay for them is just bad decision making.
I want a new car. Can't afford it but I'll buy it anyway because maybe 10 years from now I can afford the payment.
Once again I don't believe Obama to be a bad guy. I just don't believe in a spend now and hope we find a way to pay later mentality. It hasn't worked in the past and it won't work in the future. Why? Because just like a home budget, things unexpected always come up.
That sentence alone nowadays seems one sided. The Republican party is a Sham. They are obstructionist. They do not want Obama to suceed.
It really makes me sick to the stomach to see your fellow American bent out to see you fail.
If they do not agree with the plan, devise a better solution. Instead they are critiquing his plan. Dissecting anything they disagree with.
No Ideas, No solutions, Same party!
I say you had better get use to it because that is partisan politics and it is never going to change as long as we have a monopoly with our corrupt 2 party system. They did it to Bush for 8+ years. One good thing is that at least the way Obama is governing the Democrats will only have to put up with it for one term.

There is NOTHING that the right will not do to try and destroy Obama. They tried to destroy Bill Clinton and Bill was really one of them almost! They are very hateful and deceptive people. But the American people have got wise to them and their tactics. We know what the real agenda is which is the destruction of the American middle class and the militarazion of the world.

Most of the time people complain that the President is not getting anything done. This is the first President I recall that is being complained about for doing too much!
You should ask 1/2 of the American voters I guess. I would say that the honeymoon is over. Hopefully he will back off and start governing rather that campaigning. People are tired of his pitchman persona, they thought they voted for Hope and Change and leadership. The jury is still out with most.
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows that 28% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Thirty-nine percent (39%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -11.
The president’s overall job approval number fell from 61% in mid-June to 54% currently. His approval ratings for handling the economy and the federal budget deficit have also fallen sharply, tumbling to 38% and 32%, respectively.

That's interesting, W Bush as a helpless victim. Was it hard to adjust to this from the old "Mission Accomplished" image?
