Simple: morons took out mortgages they had no chance of ever paying back then defaulted on them causing the current recession and credit crisis. All facilitated by Barney Frank and the loose lending policies he foisted upon Freddie and Fannie.

Surely you jest.....The Messiah has shown his true colors. He wants to tax and penalize success. I was 100% AGAINST all of the bail outs but after AIG executives were promised if they stayed on and cleaned up the mess that they created (the people that actually created the mess had already bailed on AIG) the government AKA Obama, came up with a plan to tax those bonuses at 90%!!! They also published names and people began protesting outside their homes endangering them and their children. You want to convince the business world (small and big) that the socialist is "PRO" business or "PRO" hard work to get ahead. I think not!! People distrust him for good reason. Penalizing hard work....taxing the hell out of the producers....it will lead to doom as people stop being productive......

It is a little thing called reduced demand and a recession. Currently buisness owners are not hiring, as they have the unknown of increased taxes and increased healthcare expenses proposed by Obama, such that they cannot accurately forecast thier expenses and cannot hire until they have that information. Increased taxes and small buisness healthcosts will kill the economy, which seems to be the plan.

When Obama increases taxes on small buisness and increases further federal spending, resulting in inflation and increased interest rates, we will see the real effect of his policies. Keep in mind that no one benefits if alot of the population is unemployed, inflation and interest rates are high. No one. Again, let us be patient and talk further in two to three years.

Bush left monstrous messes for Obama to clean up: an economic crisis of a magnitude unapproached since the days of the Depression and a quagmire in the Mideast the two biggest. You're not trying to pretend that's not true, are you?

Obama has been in office six months (though he got organized early so he could start working on the problems immediately, I admit. So, seven months). He is trying to get a lot accomplished because there's a lot to be done!

What the heck are you talking about? I must be missing something.

Well the Democrats already took care of that housing thing you're concerned about, that worked out so well they are now tackling healthcare.
