And that's where the problems lie...in being so set on pushing their own agendas that the will of the people, and what's truly best for the country, gets lost. Both parties are guilty!

We should start off wishing every President well and hope that he governs with a respect for the laws of the land and a true willingness to do what's in the best interest of the country as a whole - not to the benefit of special interests or the promotion of a single party. We haven't had that, not in Bush or in Obama.
why on earth do you say we havent had that in Obama?

"If we're able to stop Obama on this, it will be his Waterloo. It will break him."

Now that's what's important! Got new ideas for health care, Repugs? Well, we have this four page coffee-stained outline.

Fortunately this peculiar bit of faux-victim fantasy has no basis in reality. When people say racist things others call them out on it. I defy you to find an exchange in this entire forum in which someone is criticizing, say, the health care plan or federal spending and is called a racist for it.

I will give Obama credit. His administration has adopted virtually the entire collection of Bush administration anti-terrorism policies and in some cases sought to strengthen them, e.g. the resumption of military tribunals, indefinite detention, and in doing so validated them completely. And I'm sure as January approaches the administration will see the wisdom of keeping Guantanamo open. So while I wish Obama to fail in his domestic agenda I'm quite satisfied with his continuation of the Bush administration's anti terrorism policies and practices.

If they do keep Guantanamo open, I trust there'll be better supervision and Im sure that trials will move ahead apace.

Even after the implosion people are starting to see that imploded party as a better solution than the current nuclear explosion called liberalism.

Starting in april and moving up to current date it's been blue for months, until now. Some had double digit leads. Now it's pretty much within the margin of error.
