Default Another Religious Nutcase Going to JAIL!

I wish we could jail all of the religious nutcases so they cannot harm others!

Wis. jury: Father guilty in prayer death case - Yahoo! News

Neumann, who once studied to be a Pentecostal minister, testified Thursday that he believed God would heal his daughter and he never expected her to die. God promises in the Bible to heal, he said.

"If I go to the doctor, I am putting the doctor before God," Neumann testified. "I am not believing what he said he would do."

You just know there will be some who will say he's innocent and that no one should be "forced" to take their dying child to a hospital.

Although I believe that God is a healer, no where does the Bible forbid us to seek out care from medical professionals. God has gifted doctors, researchers and other medical professionals with the ability to treat and cure most ailments. There is no reason why any Christian should shun medicine altogether especially if combined with prayer. The parents were negligent in this case and they may have been part of a cult because I don't know of any mainstream sect of Christianity that forbids seeking medical care. This is a tragedy that should have never happened.

The world would be better off if folks just kept their religion to themselves and not practiced it on everybody around them- including their kids.

Kevk, there are many Democrats who are devout Christians and many atheists who are republicans. I doubt that most republicans or democrats would agree with the parents who withheld medical care from their child.

Religion itself is a cult for the most part. It denies a human the ability to think on his own in a rational and logical manner.

Most Republicans may not be religious nutcases but virtually all religious nutcases are Republicans. So there is a connection.

Absolutely. I wonder if it ever occurred to the guy that just maybe God put doctors there for a reason.
