Obama admits it right here that they will be controling us and setting the rules regarding our "allowed" treatments and care.

First: If you're going to post a video proving your point, don't post one by a group that has an obvious agenda. How did the rest of the conversation go? It was cut off. How do I know that wasn't taken out of context?

Second: I didn't see anything about rules regarding our "allowed" treatments and care. He said there should be rules about providing quality care for all people.

But then, why did I even bother responding to this?...sigh...

Insurance companies already control us and set rules regarding our allowed treatments and care, at least those of us who have insurance.

A thousand times yes. I feel for the sensible conservatives on this forum who have to deal with this stuff.

Very true. Maybe we should use the term "Insurance run" health care when describing the status quo, instead of the term "private" It might make people think about it a little more

What a compelling video

Here's a doctor testifying about private insurance doing the same thing

YouTube - Linda Peeno MD, testifies

You may want to villify the government, but the private sector and their beauracracy do just the same thing, and left wingers can find little videos to support them.

European countries have public and private options and don't seem to be communists. Perhaps, its possible that by instituting a public option, we can help additional people in need and not fall to communism.

Yes, that's true but repubs see it as a way for the uber-wealthy execs to make more money off their backs and they enjoy that. They have been so brainwashed that they worship The Wealthy as their new God so they don't care. It's like sacrificing goats and virgins on an altar...a little "retro" but they like it!
