We can sue people who publish things that aren't exactly true? How is the media even in business then?
I'd like to point out that the "media" had nothing to do with the Palin divorce story. It was strictly an Internet blogger event - until Palin's "spokesperson" stated:
Quote:
Yet again, some so-called journalists have decided to make up a story.
and
Less than one week ago, Governor Palin asked the media to 'quit making things up'.
Palin, who claims to have a journalism degree, should be able to distinguish between a blogger and a journalist. She claims she wants to be left alone by the media, but she's the one who made this a MSM event with her insinuation that they were once again, "making things up."
The woman is a media ***** - she'll do anything for attention.
to be fair, she did also say something about respectable journalists leaving the story alone (without clarifying that the entire mainstream media did that).
but to call bloggers "journalists" is certainly twisting the story a bit.
i would like to know what stories that were reported in the actual mainstream media that she says were made up though. i'm not talking about e-mail forwards and blog posts, i mean actual news stories. anyone?

Who knows....with nearly every "news" station/agency now nothing more than yellow journalism outlets, it's hard to tell what's made up and what's not.
first this leftist blogger publishes a vicious rumor; now he's whining and puling like a snot-nosed toddler over a non-existent 'threat'
