I can almost picture some Larry the Cable Guy looking dude in some place like Alabama walking into a manufacturing plant, killing 10 and then taking his own life because he wanted his country back. Ignorance can be dangerous.

Exactly! What bothers me about these people is the fact that they are mostly uneducated people whose minds have been influenced by all the BS and lies they hear from people like Rush Limbaugh. Most of these people have never travelled outside of the US, their world view is very limited, overall a very gullible bunch of people.
I just returned from a week long continuing education course in Oxford England attended by mostly Americans (about 1/2 from NY city) with some from Australia, Denmark and Germany. The most supportive of Obama were from Germany, but surprisingly few Americans were as supportive and most Americans expressed concern about the money being spent by this administration. And by the way I have an MS and MBA and am from the south.

Oh, really? What the hell is racism if not toward any group of people just b/c of their skin color? Racism is only a valid assertion if the derision is pointed at a minority?
Where did these unenligthened lunatics come from? I am assuming they are all teabaggers? It is unbelievable how hateful and brainwashed these people are. I am all for freedom of expression but some of the things that have been said are just unbelievable, some insane woman was screaming "I want my country back" at one of these meetings LOL

It disappoints me that exercising your right to take your government to task has devolved into being classified as a "lunatic."
Please don't be disingenuous. This isn't about people speaking up out of their own free will. This is about a group of people being spurred on by demagoguery of very crass vested interests, specifically targeted by those vested interests to intentionally go out and cause havoc. It's little different from when Fidel Castro has a crowd of people cheering for hours at one of his speeches, they are DIRECTED to be there, or else. Not that bad in this case, but people are being prodded to go be troublemakers. Lunatic may be too strong a word, but what else should we say about people who are actually working against their own self interests; we all need good healthcare, how can anyone be against that and seek to stop it.....
