It is the ones who are working so hard to spread "missinformation" that are appaled that efforts to speak to truth and debunk rumors are being made! There is nothing that asks for any personal information, only alerts to "rumors"!
Why are conservatives so eager to bury the truth about this issue (excluding, of course the ones who's own self interest or lack of mental ablity) shields them from the truth? Perhaps because it is widely believed that the administration that actually "fixes" the health care problem, in the U.S. for the great majority of citizens, will be hard to beat in upcoming elections!
do you not recall all the rumors about America attacking itself on 9/11? did the government ask for those rumors to be reported? hell no they didn't. people will start rumors. who cares. this is just another way for this retard to get involved in our lives. you guys are idiots for thinking it is fine.
We heard Obama offereing up a pill with our own ears at his press conference. We don't need to be spun right or left.
This is UNCUT from 2003. Who is that guy talking? It doesn't look like Rush Limbaugh. It doesn't look like Sean Hannity. It doesn't look like John Boehner. It doesn't look like Michael Steele. It doesn't look like Glenn Beck...
there is a huge difference between reporting PEOPLE and reporting RUMORS.
nowhere does it say "pass on the names/websites of people disseminating rumors". they just want to know what the rumors are, and with the speed that things travel over the internet, having people passing things on directly when they hear me is the most effective way to hear this stuff.
Well what do you think will be done to pass it on? Go into a long detailed description, or send a link or copy/paste an email?
WHITE HOUSE WANTS YOU TO RPT PEOPLE WHO OPPOSE OBAMA
Posted 3:10 PM August 4, 2009
THE WHITE HOUSE IS ASKING PEOPLE TO REPORT PEOPLE WHO OPPOSE OBAMA'S HEALTHCARE PLAN. THEY'RE ASKING THAT YOU REPORT PEOPLE WHO SEND OUT EMAILS OR POST ON WEB SITES AGAINST IT.
Scary chain emails and videos are starting to percolate on the internet, breathlessly claiming, for example, to "uncover" the truth about the President’s health insurance reform positions.
In this video, Linda Douglass, the communications director for the White House’s Health Reform Office, addresses one example that makes it look like the President intends to "eliminate" private coverage, when the reality couldn’t be further from the truth.
My only questions: Are Conservative Republicans really that dumb? or are they intentionally trying to mislead and falsify the facts?
You find nothing wrong with the government wanting citizens to report other citizens who say things against obama's plan? This is something out of a fascist or communist country, not a free country.
Where does it say the White House wants anyone to report citizens? It says they want to know what the rumors are! If you know how to forward an email, you can do it without indicating who sent it to you , much less where they got it from.
Look at it this way, if someone were spreading a rumor (or deliberately false statement) about YOU, wouldn't you want to know what's being said so that you could counter it? I know I would!
