Okay, when Putin went fishing barechested, I was okay with it but this horse riding barechested thing disturbs me. I think it's because he's doing it wearing a watch.
It's a little too Half Naked Pasty Wall Street looking for me, you know what I'm sayin'?
So, tale off your liberal/conservative boxing gloves for a minute and weigh in on this:
Do you want to see your DC politicians, half dressed...on a horse?
Picture them in your mind, galloping to the capitol or the White House on a horse, with a watch on and half naked before you answer. I can hear you now, "But LauraC, Putin wasn't going to work."
Okay, how about on vacation in the Rockies or Smokies...DC politician, half naked, with a watch on, riding a horse...no tan? You're in the RV looking out the window or looking out of your tent, maybe hiking along some trail and there they are, pasty, half naked, wearing a watch, on a hose...with a bunch of photographers also riding horses trying to keep up with them. What do you think? What do you say? How do you process it?

Who cares? But I will tell you that due to the massive Russian immigration in NY, I have come a bit familiar with Russian mentality and I have noted they do tend to be somewhat show off oriented and garrish. Superficiality runs high. I'm not being judgemental, just observant. This is most prevelant within the Russian immigrants that come from Moscow. Status is achieved via material things. I personally, cannot relate to thier mindset.
