First, post some verifiable statistics proving that Republicans hate San Fran more than Vegas.
Second, I know lots of people, from both sides of the political spectrum, that love both cities. San Fran is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Vegas is quite ugly and unattractive other than a short section of the strip, and even that area lacks character.
Republicans claim to be the party of family values
but seem to have a sick hate towards the city of San Francisco, to the point that Bill O'reilly one time said that he wants Al-Qaida to attack San Francisco.
Well, they don't smell their own farts in Vegas but are you sure Bill O'Reilly didn't say he wants Al-Qaida to attack the NY Times building?

Political affiliation (being a brainwash ideologue that hates a city where more that 51% votes against their party)

San Francisco, for all its leftist activism and politics is by no means the most liberal city in America or some sort of communist/socialist stronghold. In fact, its probably not even in the top 5, maybe top 10 and even then maybe 8 or 9. We we talking about this earlier in the SF forum here.
There are FAR more liberal cities in California and the country and I think I've made that point several times here (ex:try Oakland or Berkeley). The city is a fairly market oriented place and has a huge retail and tech industry presence. True home prices are astronomical mostly because of stupid housing regulations, but I wouldn't really call it a commie enclave. Even 10% of SF voters voted for bush in 2000, that has to count for something.
Make no mistake however, SF is definitely a liberal city overall. But much of the hate directed towards it is misdirected. Hate Oakland or Berkeley if you need a city to demonize. Those places are waaay more liberal with sky-high crimes rates, anti-military etc, its easy to demonize them.
That could apply to Los Angeles just as much as the Bay Area, so why has the hatred for L.A. died down?
Especially because it's traditionally been America's most hated city anyways.
Among conservatives LA is rarely mentioned as being strongly disliked.The "Hollywood far left liberal elite" is considered to be a separate entity separated from LA in general;it is considerd to be a state of mind rather than a geographical location.The contempt for San Francisco and the Bay Area in general is real and it is widespread;it is not something that myself or others on this forum have made up just to cause dissent.Since this thread is dying down,perhaps a rather amusing question comparing Los Angeles to San Francisco to wrap it up?Which city has the worst mayor?Both men would seem to qualify;both men want to be governor,neither could do the job according to many.Will award the prize as worst His Honor to San Francisco.While I am no fan of Tony V,Gavin Newsom seems to be worse,and that is not just my opinion.Not long ago there were a couple of very active threads on the California forum about Mr. Newsom,his possible run for governor,and his job as mayor.In what was a major surprise to myself,many liberals were quite critical of him and stated that they do not support him.Their objections were not so much ideological as practical.The complaints were that he has mismanaged the city,was not competent,and has pursued his own self interests.Way to go San Francisco,you elected a real gem,right?
