Perhaps it would be a good idea. But, its not going to happen that 100% will have such a document. And you cannot force people to have one.

If you trust government that much - then, you are, unfortunately, very foolish IMO.

You are correct - TM, and many others, really, REALLY don't understand the Constitution. Or the authors intentions (what we now call legislative intent). IMO, one of the favorite classes for law students is, Constitutional Law - because we will take a section and dig, DIG into the meaning - and then apply it to real life situations.

Unfortunately, many Politicians, including IMO, the POTUS, is counting on this lack of understanding to try to corrupt the American system and usurp many of the freedoms our founders intended -

Many vets do not trust the VA - and would not step into a VA health care facility.

Unfortunately, TM refuses to accept or recognize this fact.

So you think its better to trust corporations, whos sole intent is to make money, over the government... You really actually believe that... Well good luck trusting some CEO who sees you as nothing but a dollar sign with your life.

What freedoms is he trying to usurp? What has he done that is unconstitutional? You really just talk a lot with no substance, so it'd be nice if you at least told us what you were accusing Obama of doing, rather than just saying vague generalizations.

History isn't even going to remember these people, because they are fringe lunatics. They aren't even part of a real debate. Some people are just so spiteful that they can't swallow their pride and admit that someone else might just know better than they do, so they go to town hall meetings with their friends to make sure NO ONE is heard. Because if it isn't their way, its NO WAY.

Thanks, TM, for taking the time to do this. You've saved all of us a lot of work - at least all of us who are interested in the facts.

I didn't say anyone should be forced.. nor does the bill

it only says that it will pay for the service and the counseling should someone WANT it and do it.

Making something that is important like that more accessible and even known (because it is apparent that alot of people even on this board have no idea what the hell an health care proxy/ Living will are) is a good thing.. wether they take it or not .. totally up to them.
