I am 23, with a pre-existing condition, and I am covered at about $300 a month. That's a large portion of my income, but I have made health care a priority, not the governments. Last year I was in the hospital in a coma, the bill came out of $37,000 BEFORE insurance. The negotiated rate for me was $250.
You're still young - just wait until your rates increase year after year - not to mention finding how insurance companies conveniently stop covering certain things, which might force you to shop for new insurance (which likely won't cover that preexisting condition).

In 10 years time (assuming reform hasn't taken affect) you'll see where some of us are coming from. Health care is a priority for our family of 3 as well. I pay more than you monthly and that's through my employer. We're what most would consider "healthy". Our employer pays about $1100 per month for my policy on their end. Though I remember the days I only had to pay around $300 for decent insurance.

It seems all those taking shots at liberals are more outraged by liberal ideals than they are about the subject of the health care system. Can we at least have a constructive discussion on ways to improve it instead of putting so much effort into insulting the opposing party?

Thank you. He was assuming that just because he can afford it now (because it's his priority) that he'll be able to afford it tomorrow. Situations change. If it weren't our priority as well, we wouldn't be pushing so hard for change.

It's what the Bill says; not Obama. . . . as Joe pointed out Obama will tell you whatever you want to hear.

I have been searching and searching and I can't find any proof that our President was lying last night. Could you guys please post some evidence to back up your claims? Thanks.

Here is an excellent example of the dishonesty of obama and his minions.

Kudos to Wolf for pressing the point when it was obvious Axelrod's answer was lame;

Why are no other religions ever slammed on here. How about Jews that are pro-life or Muslims that are right to life people. Why is no one slamming them and starting threads about what hypocrites they are? GMAFB.

far more realistic.. lmao. Yeah, the muslims view of the right to life is more realistic. Let me see, I'm a muslim father who just found out that my daughter or son just betrayed the koran and changed over to christianity, now I kill him/her in the name of Allah. Yeah, that's realistic.
