Yes, here we go into another "jobless recovery". The rich will get ever more rich and wave their lavish lifestyles in the face of the working people while the working people lose more and more!

However, in this recession, companies have been using their productivity gains from layoffs and other cost cuts not to hire again but to bolster their profits.

Productivity rises in 2Q while labor costs plunge - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090811/ap_on_bi_go_ec_fi/us_economy - broken link)

Provided you have any business, after you pay all the fees, county licensing, city licensing, state licensing, occupational licenses, insurance, zoning inspections, fire inspections, and on and on.

Lots of small businesses on the rocks these days as the local and federal gubmint sucks up any profit that might have been made.

Not jealous but angry because most of the wealth was stolen by fraud or monopoly.

BS.

You are simply jealous that there are people out there that are smarter than you, more productive than you, more creative than you - and have made far more a financially success than you.

Not really. You have no idea just how satisfied I am with my life. Certainly I want to win the lottery because then I would not have to spend time doing what others tell me because I need their money and I could become even more self satisfied.

I will stand by my contention that most large fortunes are inherited or stolen through illegal business practice.

Too that you can add the Cap & Tax legislation and UHC if it goes through.

Let me try a couple, just a couple of examples on you -

Oprah Winfrey - I would think you would consider her wealthy. Did she inherit it? Did she get her wealth through "illegal" business practice?

How about Bill Gates - Wealthy? Did someone die and leave him his money? Any Illegal practice?

I do not think he is going after those who actually do work for their money with honest livings. This is probably more directed at the scam artists and conmen like Madoff and Stanford. Or the CEOs who travel to Washington in private jets to beg for bailouts. Or the commodities traders who get 7 figure bonuses by manipulating markets.
