That's what it says. It also states:
"We look forward to working with leaders of both parties, including the President, to build a final package we could endorse that addresses the concerns of the 50-plus population and brings quality, affordable health care choices to every American.”
Means to me that they really do not endorse this plan as it stands.

Since they acknowledge that they have actually been working with both Republicans and Democrats in the crafting of this bill, and they have clearly stated what they want from this bill, it's understandable that Obama's perception is their support of the bill. It's notable that the AARP did not say it wouldn't endorse a final version of this bill, and it's notable that the Newsmax article didn't talk about the possibility of the AARP endorsing the bill.
