Did you read your own link?
How Health-Care Reform Will Affect Your Coverage - WSJ.com

It indicates things may not be quite as 'cheap' as they think.

And if a cap of $10K is set....a figure we easily reach while ON Medicare, there remains the question of who's picking up the rest of the tab.

It simply must be known how it's going to be paid for and the costs are going to be high without true reform. ...the reforms missing in these proposals

Here is the BIGGEST problem in my opinion: The DEMOCRATS LIE AND ARE LYING - the INSIST single payer is not on the radar screen.

THEY LIE - and as more information like this comes out, it is going to cause the Democrats to lose more and more CREDIBILITY which is going to ultimately cause them to lose many seats in Congress and then lose the White House.

Is it the "best deal" when the Doctor you have been seeing for years, who you have trust in - can talk to, stops taking Medicare?

And, more and more this is happening all over the country?

Who is lying & stirring up the pot? It's not the Dems. There will NEVER be a single payer system unfortunately in America, this notion is lies & propaganda to halt reform. The current system is broken! If it's so great right now then why are so many un/under- insured? All the things the right-wingers claim would happen if the govt provided insurance are already happening every day in America. Like refusal by insurance co. to pay for needed treatments & medication they deem to expensive or unnecessary. People are literally dieing right now because they can't afford treatment or because their insurance won't cover a needed proceedure or medication. I have insurance and have been victimized by the current system. When I got injured in '02, my insurance co. who I payed every mo., denied me a treatment which the Dr. felt would help me. Now, every day when I wake up in pain, I suffer the consequences of a decision made by someone in an office in another state who did not know me & only saw saving money as an option. Now they won't even pay for medication to help w/ the problem they created. I am but one of millions suffering due to the greed of the current system. How does me wanting change make me pathetic or a mindless idiot wanting supposed mediocrity? Affordable, consistant health care is a fundamental right to every person in society. Can the right wingers be more selfish? Don't you want to see everyone get a chance to be healthy or this only a right of the wealthy who can afford the current system?

Funny that the majority of people in this country have figured out how to take care of themselves and their families, contributing far more to government coffers than they will ever recieve, and yet some people still have the audacity to make stupid claims that "its too hard".

I have had it with pathetic nanny state people that require everybody else to take care of them utilizing the strong arm of government as a piggy bank.

Grow up.
Suggest you learn basic 19th-20th Century US History.

Garfield, Matewan, Hay Market Riots, that sort of thing.

And that "majority".

Does it use Medicare, Social Security, have electricity or drive on pave roads?

Government, you do know?

Obama has said single-payor won't fly in this country. Many people would love that but it's really not an option.

The Democrats can just set up another mailing list to report doctors suspected of doing this, and jail or send to work camps any doctor who is guilty of this "crime".

With respect, there are Democrat leaders in both the house and senate who are going around touting the fact that the democratic legislation now before the congress is but the FIRST STEP (their words) towards a single payer system. And several poster have already posted you tube videos where these people are on record, recently, for such.

So, I would not use the word "Never"

Haha!!!!

Yet. Ask Bawney Fwanks and see what the sneaky "game plan" is.

Of course, don't expect ANY of our glorious leaders to sign up for any public option or single payer system.

And I suggest that you look at the various layers of government as they are not all one in the same.

Roads are provided by at a minimum each individual state, many times by municipalities. Anybody that has the slightest regard for the constitution would realize that this point makes the entire difference of the argument.

As far as social security and medicare... who says I approve with that too? Is that really your defense. "We have already started down the path of socialist programs, so your defense against it is stupid since we already have some"

Next time you want to "educate" somebody on US history, rather than throwing out some stupid "I think you should educate yourself (generalization)" maybe you should provide the facts and the arguments which support your point of view. Otherwise, it appears that you really can't win the argument other than to try and discredit the opposing viewpoint through some cheap generalization which holds no water.
