I have heard liberals argue a lot of idiotic things. This has got to take the cake. Harvard sells degrees to Bushes. Could you people possibly believe such a preposterous idea?

Do you believe every professor Bush had was a conservative? If not, do you believe a well respected liberal professor at the most prestigous university in the world would give Bush a passing grade he didn't deserve? How could you logically come to this conclusion?

Some of you are letting your hatred of Bush make you look like fools. There are plenty of real things to criticize President Bush for.

My entire family has been Republican since Lincoln, I suppose I am the first to break that custom and Bush was one of the reasons I switched to an Independant. the three things in the Bush administration that prompted me to do so was the fact that he refused to protect our borders when we certainly have the capability, The so called Patriot Act and when he said our constitution was just a G.D. piece of paper. I could not become a Democrat because they stand for just about evereything I Hate, And yes I do have the right to disagree with both Republicans and Democrats contrary to popular belief. I believe both parties are just as corrupt as the other one, they just have different ways of implementing their policies to gain total control over us. If anyone believes our government is looking out for our best interest, the only thing that comes to mind is...Fool.

Intelligence can't be measured by academic degrees. That is just book learning and, as anyone who has studied at Harvard can tell you, once you are in they will not fail you. It is the hardest Ivy to get in but renown for being the easiest to stay in. If you can get in under a family legacy, you've won the battle.

Rather, one must assess the individual in question. One must observe how an individual processes concepts. In that sense, Bush is not a very intelligent person.

He could not grasp the complexity of situations and consistently reduced them to over-simplified "right or wrong" "good or bad" caricatures.

As such, his solutions never actually solved anything but rather created deeper problems. One might disagree with Obama, but he has demonstrated time and again an ability to hold seemingly diametrically opposed positions in his mind simultaneously and assess a reasonable balance in between the two. I'm not saying his policies always reflect this, but he is a genuinely intelligent human.

Then again, they've done studies that showed conservatives have much more rigid minds that organize things into "right or wrong" while liberals have much more maleable minds that are able to grasp more nuance in situations. So, in essence, we're just witnessing the manifestation of these two minds in the presidents.

President Bush was a VERY smart man. Plain and simple. Your money and connections may help get you into Harvard, but they do not get you a degree. Harvard is the most well respected educational institution in the world. Harvard is no bastion for conservatives. You HAVE to be smart to receive an MBA from Harvard. The course load mandates it. Are you haters who say money got his degree suggesting that Harvard and Yale are selling degrees??? That has got to be the most asine claim I've ever heard.

You cannot test someones IQ by the way they enunciate or by how articulate they are. You may not like President Bush, but all the folks who suggest that he is not a bright man are either a)dishonest or b)not so bright themselves.

Period.
Yes....yes he was/is and may I introduce myself...I am the first Gay Pope of the Roman Catholic Church!......

You can call Bush absolutely anything (good, diplomatic, friendly, caring, etc, etc)
but the one thing that I know George Bush is not = smart

This post reminds me of the way republicans love to call things the complete opposite just because it's convinient (i.e. socialist facist )

Just because you disagree with someone's political ideology doesn't mean they are stupid.

You're mixing up subject matter here.
