Bush is not a "stupid" man. He was a inarticulate at times, which made him look like a bumbling oaf. He didn't have the IQ of many other world leaders. But stupid? I don't think so.

Yes, compared to most people, Bush is pretty much average. But am I the only one who feels the most powerful leader in the world should be articulate and have a high IQ?

Perhaps I just have a higher standard, but I'm pretty happy that I can admit Obama's more intelligent than I am with regard to processing complex political situations and articulating concepts.

That's really a significant part of the job description, and, like any job, if you can't meet basic qualifications, you aren't qualified for the job.

I agree with you. A president should be articulate and have a high IQ. You're not the only person that feels that way. That being said, IMHO a stupid person doesn't have the intelligence to make a serious run at the presidency. Stupid is a very subjective word.

I think he was stupid because he really was intellectually incurious...he didn't want to learn or change ( and a person doesn't need a ripping high IQ number to be curious and learn).

He really didn't get to be President under his own power...he had Big Daddy helping him with that, too, and the others behind the scenes. I doubt he was in charge ever.

and that's the sign of a terrible leader. You can't a CEO that keeps the status quo when the company is going under. Stubbornness is not quality you want in a leader. The company better evolve or it will be gone.

I feel for him though. He was just in way over his head and did the best he could with the capacities he had. The guy meant well.

'Meant well'? Sorry, I cannot be so forgiving - not with the realization that his little war caused 5,000 American, and 1,000,000 Iraqi deaths, not to mention the trillions wasted. I can't believe how Americans get so caught up in saving 1 life, whether it's a horse in a river, or a girl on life support, and are so dismissive of these numbers. Think of the millions of destroyed lives in Iraq and Afganistan. We had no business invading either country.

There are plenty of people who are book smart, they can dutifully recite the accomplishments and successes of others, but are incapable of emulating the same type of success themselves. 0bama is one of those people. Even as president he has other people working for him, even going so far as to write what he needs to say, and where to go. Whenever he goes off script he sounds like another Joe Biden.

I completely disagree with that statement. I think that's you're playing of what people said about Obama using a teleprompter.

You're off topic......I'm sure you can find several other threads bashing Obama....
