I hear people in Town Hall meeting saying that they want America back to the way it use to be.

What does that mean?

I am speculating that people, like me, grow concerned when a sitting POTUS tells people to stop talking so much and get out of his way so he can fix a mess created by another POTUS.

It means that America has been dumbed down to a Jerry Springer Republic, in that case Democracy is dead.

It means that, as usual, they are just parroting the Hannitys and Limbaughs of the world. Most of them have no idea what they're saying. That's why they are such perfect targets for political manipulation by the right-wing (its politicians and industries). The Australian Porn King Rupert Murdoch, who owns FOX News (how's that for irony, all you right-wing Christians out there?) also owns right-wing politicians and is in economic league with insurance companies. Murdoch alone is responsible for the FOX engine that is fueling panic and fear among the less-educated right wing. Filled with the passion of jingoism--fueled by their corporate handlers (although they have no idea that they're being used as political pawns)--they feel empowered and "important." Hence: We have Katy Abram--the new "Joe the Plumber." Terrified of "losing" her "country." She's been so filled with fear by the lies she hears, she is constantly on the verge of crying--and has no idea, of course, that she's been had.

I wouldn't say democracy is dead. Just in a hospital bed with pneumonia, leukemia, malaria, and five broken bones. But it's gonna make a comeback.
