You relocated to live in the South though, right?

*snaps fingers*

Here is a simple solution to ALL your problems, kiddo.

Move.

Huh? I don't live in the south, but regularly go there and have been all through the south.

My apologies, ma'am *tips imaginary hat*. I was wrong as to your domain.

But I still wonder why you "regularly" come to a part of the country where certain traditions/icons/symbols offend your pristine sense of propriety. Just asking...

Because my favorite baseball team is down there, and my parents live there (had to move because of my dad's job).

Let me add to it, and the chips fall where they may, lil' lady...

Go back and count the number of threads of which the intent was to start a fight over the Confederate Flag, and then look and see who and from where, started it. THAT is the obsession.

Then the people on CD keep thinking about it. I don't remember once instance in my life where it was a topic of discussion.

Then I guess it offered something not to be found in NYC, huh?

Yeah, the outdated technology my dad knew. He never went back to school to learn the latest computer technology. Couldn't get a job in the metro area when he got laid off after 9/11.

You made my case. The horrible South where one has to come to get a job.

The companies recruit from their partner companies in the north because they usually know the latest technology and want to bring it down south where they're using older technology. Not many people believe me, but it's what my dad does for a living.

But those of us who have good, stable, well-paying jobs aren't leaving up here.

Anyway, back on topic.
