Every neo-prog has insulted those of differing opinions in this thread. Why is that? Can't you guys express your p.o.v. without the name calling?

LOL..Would you stop pretending like you're sensitive when nobody has insulted you..Just admit that you have nothing to say and move on. Your whining is....well typical.

Of what; those that believe in a "fantasy." I'm calling you on your intolerance, and you can't take it.

I smell a Supreme Court lawsuit coming, and in a hurry.

The first time they make a little Muslim boy read the bible, its over.

I think this is BS, religion is something that should be taught in churches and in homes.

As the man in the article said,

"I don't want you teaching my kids about your religion, unless you are willing to let your children come into my home, so I can teach them about MY religion."

I don't think they'd be willing to let their kids go to a Mosque to learn about Islam.

U.S. Constitution - Amendment 1

Amendment 1 - Freedom of Religion, Press, Expression

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

I wouldn't have as much of a problem with this if they were also allowed/required (whichever is the case here, I can't exactly figure it out) to teach the Koran, the Torah, etc.

But, yes, I have a huge problem with this as it stands.

Dude, read what you wrote, for crying out loud. Congress made no law establishing a state religion. It's an elective biblical history class in Texas. Why are you so intolerant?

Why? It's an elective on Biblical history, what's the issue?

Would you be ok if they passed a law saying that your child HAD TO READ THE KORAN, AND ONLY THE KORAN?
