The braggadocious, macho, gun toting bullies are absolutely wrong for showing up with guns at a location where the President was speaking. They're hiding behind the 2nd ammendment and trying to act all tough. I say they're idiots!

Did they show up where the President was speaking? Guess I missed that.

Phoenix police said the gun-toters at Monday's event, including the man carrying an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle slung over his shoulder, didn't need permits. No crimes were committed, and no one was arrested.

Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan said armed demonstrators in open-carry states such as Arizona and New Hampshire have little impact on security plans for the president. "In both cases, the subject was not entering our site or otherwise attempting to," Donovan said. "They were in a designated public viewing area. The main thing to know is that they would not have been allowed inside with a weapon."

The President is supposed to stand for the Constitution. I see no reason why American Citizens can't exercise their rights, guaranteed them in the Bill of Rights. Arizona allows it so there was no law breaking.

That being said, as long as nobody breaks the laws, there is nothing wrong with it.

IMHO showing up at a public rally where there is protest--- emotions and shouting-- armed--- is a gross error.
at a place near where the president is speaking considering the level of death threats against him, intolerable.

As long as they keep the posturing and violence among themselves and dont involve the President, I dont care.

I support the right to own and carry firearms, but this was just grandstanding in my opinion, and doesn't help gun owners causes in any way.

Golly...that black guy, in the nice tie and big gun, looked real comfortable... being all right wing arse-hole, etc. in front of the Obama thugs. Wonder why?

Guess he got his $12 an hour from Craigslist/acorn.

There were a number of men and women openly carrying firearms near the locale of the Presidents speech the VFW.

Perfectly Legal. Perfectly OK

I don't know what the original posters problem is.
