Where I live the county charges a 3/8% sales tax to blacktop major section line rural roads in example pictured below. (Note sign on left.) City people also have to pay the tax. It doesn't matter if they seldom or never need to drive on such roads.

Similar to VA...beer and wine in the supermarkets. Hard stuff and a signifiant selection of Virginia wines at the ABC stores. As for PA stores that are open on Sunday, I pinged the PLCB website. There are stores open noon to 5:00 in State College, Dubois, Lewiston, Butler, Seven Fields...many more.

Now quite. Where I live the county is required to be dry on Sundays. The only thing you can buy, alcohol wise, is 3.2% beer in grocery and convenience stores.

It can be embarrassing when you're in a restaurant on Sunday from forgetting about the law and try to order a drink. It's pretty ridiculous. It's past time for citizens to try again to vote on making the county wet on Sunday
