I don't see how. You think a criminal stops & thinks "wait, if I turn my back, they can shoot me....best if I leave this one be". Yeah, I don't think so.
Too bad for them, then there will be alot of dead criminals.
Bleeding-heart Liberals....yeeesh. If you don't want to shoot your favorite burgler, car-jacker, robber, thief, attempting rapist, mugger, or assaultive criminal----DON'T.
Do not dictate to fellow citizens how they should protect and defend their lives, families and property, to suit your idea of fair, compassionate, or logical. Criminals rarely commit one crime, and then retire from the lifestyle. If you wish to exercise your right to stand down....I can respect that. I can also respect, and thank, the citizen-soldier who legally takes criminal vermin out. The departed criminal's next victim could have been a cherished loved one.

I expect differences of opinion on this forum but I'm surprised the known Libs are crying out over even this....
Guy whacks you or your wife using violence,robs you or takes her purse,and turns to run.Some POS that wouldn't care if you died and you are going to cry about him being attacked after he turns to run?
I have never been robbed or assaulted, so I can only speculate as to how I would feel. I can't imagine myself shooting someone who had robbed me of material possessions, especially if they were running away. I don't see myself being so cavalier about taking another human life (even if the person was a low-life thug).
