He has to realize that the nation would rally behind him. The same people that worked their butts off to get him into office are waiting for him draw that line in the sand and let the right wing know that they are inconsequential in getting his legislation passed. Screw them. Who is advising him to continue to attempt to bring these greedy bastards on board?

Continue to stand by your spoon fed "principles"! You will find a capitalistic democracy turning into corporate fascism.

We already have the 2nd biggest wealth distribution disparity of any country in the world. Do you like working for slave wages to further enrich a wealthy few?

Quote:
A new study---buried by the media---has found the United States second only to Switzerland in the disparity between the net worth of its top 10% and everyone else. The report follows a recent study that found that America’s wealthiest top 1% earned the highest share of the national income since the 1920’s. Only Switzerland exceeded America in its extent of skewed wealth distribution.

Interestingly, for all of the recent media attention on rising income inequality in China and India, these nations have nowhere near the wealth disparity of America. The World Institute report found that millions of people in China and India are leaving poverty for the middle-class, a scenario that is perhaps occurring less than ever before in our own country.

Recall that one of President Bush’s and the Republican Congress’ top priorities this year was the repeal of the estate tax, an act that would have made America’s income and wealth disparity even worse.

Obama, along with many of his supporters, seem to miss the point that there are enough Democrats that if they were united, the Republicans would no be able to stop them. You can try to blame Republicans, but there is a split in the Dems that is stopping this.

This is not Republicans... this is independents and middle leaning Democrats realizing you are a Socialist hell bent on controlling every aspect of our lives. Americans do not want govt in their life when the govt does not have to be. I know its hard for liberals to wrap this fact around their minds, but its true. 2012 cannot come quick enough.

I am a socialist but I do not give a damn about controlling your life or what you do. I want a UHC paid for by a progressive income tax that covers everyone in the US because it is the civilized thing to do.

Sound familar...probably taking advice from Hillary...
I was wandering when he was going to bring the vast right wing conspiracy thing. Trouble is it involves many democrats in congress or they would have shoved thru either bill. What is he finding out ios he as loss his glow very fast because of his huge deficit spending and poor performance of the stimulus.
