I will give up an additional 4% to have me and my family fully covered. And I have good insurance now that cost me nothing. There was a story about a businessman somewhere that closed down his businesses and brought all the employees in for a meeting. He handed out his tax returns, griped about having to pay more taxes on over a half million dollars of income (think he owns a bunch of tire stores) and then he issued a THREAT to the employees. He said that he was gonna CUT their pay by 6% if he was forced to pay for insurance for them. He said CUT YOUR PAY!! But then somebody did some math and found out that would mean he would CUT the workers PAY by about $120 a month on a salary of appx $24,000! But when you think that would cover not only you but your whole family, it would not be a really bad deal after all!

It will cost you much more than an additional 4%. Those who work have to pay for the coverage of those who do not work.

Why post a non-sense question?

You know as well as anyone else that no program including health reform will take 50% of your pay.

Stop fearmongering!!

Agreed... The irony is people talking about the cost when Obama and company can't seem to come up with an actual cost or method to pay for it. Pass the bill and we'll figure it out later.
