Its not the republicans that are holding him up;its his own party now that they have seen his results. They basically have loss confidence in his policies as has the public. With the stimulus spending and results ;no wander.

Man up, champ and grow some big hairy ones.
I agree with you in part.
At the moment Obama is doing exactly what he was NOT voted in to do, Suck up and be swayed by the status quo. Unfortunately the American people have no idea of how a uhc works and are being manipulated by scare tactics in the media. They are basing their judgement on lies and not facts. I have just seen a uhc in action and there is not one single reason as to why it would not work for the benefit of all in America.

I am SO SICK of all this debate over the Healthcare reform!!! If the majority of Americans are FOR it, let's DO it!! Isn't that the American way?? If not, lets get together & work on it until we get it right!
Really ticks me off that the minority in this country have used THIS, the president trying to FIX THE SCREWED UP HEALTHCARE SYSTEM in the US, as an excuse to say "To arms,Patriots!" & "Let's overthrow the Socialist Antichrist!"
What utter drivel.
I don't get what the holdup is. The People spoke last November. As a nearly -40 year old White woman in Kansas,I KNOW what the hell is behind all the BS protests, and it ain't pretty. I live it everyday,as I have seen my own family,Democrat from the get-go,turn Republican when a (half) black man was on the ticket. Sure,I'm embarassed . But I know they will get over it,as will the rest of the damn country.
Many of them were taught as children to fear people of other races than white,in their Leave it to Beaver, Andy Griffith childhoods, and this is OH so evident nowadays. Also, it's an evolutionary "thang", it's nothin' but Mother Nature. Bluebirds fly w/ other bluebirds, the Robins go a- bobbin' w/ other robins. Less evolved humans are still fighting that biologic tendancy to seek out specimens of a similar type. This too, will pass.

OK...agreed. The problem for you and Obama is that the majority of Americans are opposed to his plan. Republicans have offered alternatives and they are rejected out of hand. So much for working together until we get it right.

We have examples in this country of state-run HC - Mass, Maine, TN, IHS - how are they doing?

I'll tell you; Mass is $9 billion in the red, Maine is scrambling for money to fund their UHC, TN is cutting people from the rolls and it has cost the state 38% more than estimated and IHS is just a sub-quality system that rations care and provides less than stellar results.

Please, point to a state-run system that has achieved the promised results.

And the truth will set you free!
Damn good post. If only people would get their politically correct thumb out of their butts and face facts.

You're not paying attention - they are not for it - EVERY poll says the same thing - major disapproval for obamacare, along with his own approval ratings.
