America to Obama: Shut Up | Newsflavor

Excerpt:

Since becoming President, the more Obama talks, the less America likes him...

President Obama is off to enjoy a summer vacation in the multi-millionaire’s paradise of Martha’s Vineyard - a vacation that could not come sooner for a president struggling to maintain approval from the majority of Americans who gave him the job of leading the country.

For the last six weeks, Obama has been everywhere. Speeches, infomercials, town halls, press conferences, to say nothing of the White House talking points disseminating en masse daily and regurgitated by the Obama media lackeys - it has been a deluge of Obamanation and frankly, the American people are growing weary of it. A ten point drop in approval numbers is only partial evidence of this growing Obama fatigue. A number of key political races in upcoming elections show Democrat candidates facing the very real prospect of losing to their Republican counterparts, a scenario that seemed highly unlikely just a few short months ago when Democrat strategist James Carville repeatedly declared the imminent end of the Republican Party.

Obama is batting zero. He has the nerve to tell people to stop taking so much and get out of the way so that he can fix things and then he says that people get all wee wee ed up in August. The man is a fool.

I must agree - no president has spoken so much while saying so little.

His poll numbers continue to decline, Obamacare has the Democrats fighting among themselves, and the 2010 midterm elections are looking like a viable chance for a return to grow the conservative presence in Congress and some governorships.

Remarkable that this has befallen the Democrats and Obama in just a few short months...

I'm optimistic that things will improve. No one expected health care reform to be easy. Things may look much different in a few months, after a bill passes.

Most of Americans approve of what Obama is doing as president, and support his actions. Just because you don't like it, doesn't make it wrong. 54% guys, 54%.

Doesn't look good for Obama.. Looks like lots of die hard liberals are getting off the bus.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 27% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-one percent (41%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -14. These figures mark the lowest Approval Index rating yet recorded for this President. The previous low of -12 was reached on July 30 .

Prior to today, the number who Strongly Approved of the President’s performance had never fallen below 29%. Some of the decline has come from within the President’s own party. Just 49% of Democrats offer such a positive assessment of the President at this time.

I think it's ridiculous to call it a "Presidential Approval Index" when it only includes those who "strongly" approve or disapprove. They should include all who approve or disapprove, even if it's mildly. Otherwise, their index is pretty meaningless to me.

And a lot of die-hard liberals are "getting off the bus"? I don't see it.

Pollster.com: National Job Approval (DEMOCRATS ONLY): Pres. Barack Obama

Sure, some are disappointed, but the vast majority of Democrats still approve of Obama. Sorry.

Again, the use of most here is probably not appropriate. That most voters, 54%, last November voted for Obama may be correct, but there is no actual way to validate the use of most as approving of what Obama is doing as president other than by polls that are neither valid, binding nor official.

My view today is that the use of most is as much conjecture as accusations of either party claims against the other. Like it or not.
