I beleive its the law once a man turns 18. I don't know if they get arrested or not, I haven't asked. But i'm guessing that eventually they do.
My husband did not register. He's still with me and he's no spring chicken. My brother did not register either; no arrest. But, I think it's total bull that men are compelled to register and women are not.

I asked my dh about it last night (he was born after 1960). I think trouble would start only if a draft were to occur. I also learned, as a piece of trivia, that switzerland requires registration of both genders.

Possibly ... but I don't think they make the women actually do military service whereas the men do.

Oh bullpuckey. Just the freaking TRUTH, plin old common sense. There are a lot of psychos out there nowadays, if you are too naive to know that,that's your own problem. A LOT of male chauvinists who believe
that a woman walking around nude or nearly-nude is "asking" for sex. They would be mor than happy to give it to them,wanted or not.
