They actually provide links to credible information sources to back up their statements. You seem to prefer bloggers who are spouting opinions and provide links to other bloggers. Rumors linked to rumors, opinions linked to opinions, e-mails used as news sources. It's flim-flam, Robert. Factcheck and snopes actually link to the genuine artifacts in question. That's not flim-flam.
only in your eyes because they are both slanted left. They are a sham and a disgrace to get real facts from.
No one who has actually read Mr. Obama's books and had even the least understanding of them could possibly call the man a racist. Nor do I believe him to be a socialist.
Racist is as racist does. Those of us who live in Illinois are very aware of Obama's history as a racist.
That thread explored the racist comment Obama made during an interview discussing Dreams From My Father.
And by the way, Obama and his Chicago pals (Rahm, Rezko, etc.) continue to enjoy their school tax break while the rest of the state of Illinois, including those 'white' executives Obama demonized, subsidize Obama's and his Chicago buddies' low real estate tax bills. In reality, Obama and his Chicago pals are the ones who don't want to pay for their own schools. They pass 30% of the bill for Chicago's schools along to the rest of the state. Those 'white' executives, along with other state taxpayers, pay for 95% of their own school systems' budgets PLUS 30% of the Chicago Public School's budget.
snopes is no authority on anything. It is a mom and pop site ran by a husband and wife. Factcheck is also another liberal biased organization. Neither of these sites are any authority on anything.
a husband and wife who happen to be very good researchers. i posted a link earlier to an article in the national review praising snopes.
again, the article i linked to gives page numbers, sources, extended quotes from the book to show the context, and a link to the article (not written by obama) that one of the quotes was taken from. show me what is inaccurate on that page and i will admit i am wrong.
oh and this site, truthorfiction.com, has been touted as the unbiased alternative to snopes by people who claim (falsely) that snopes is biased to the left. they say the same thing snopes does.

only in your eyes because they are both slanted left. They are a sham and a disgrace to get real facts from. Let me ask you this. How can it actually link to the actual book? Is it online for all to read for free? I didn't think so. The only thing I see snopes and factcheck actually saying is that "the Obama administration says that this is not true". You believe that for fact?
This thread gets back to the perplexing power of email forwards on conservative minds.
I saw such quotes ages ago, back during the campaign, and dissected every aspect of it. Some of the statements were completely made up, others were taken out of context to distort their meaning.
Jennysquirrel - you're peddling in lies and doing nothing to serve the interests of your ideology.
Do you really think a black man named Barack Hussein Obama would write a book in anticipation of his campaign and decide to slander white people?!? What in the world would he gain? His entire campaign was about minimizing race so the bigots wouldn't have fuel.

then you need your eyes checked. they cite page numbers and quote extensively from the book. they link to an article that one quote was taken from (a negative article about obama, and the quote is taken from the author's own writing, not something obama said). they don't say anything about what "the obama administration says".
anyone can go to a library or book store and check that what snopes says is accurate. amazing that references to internet sources are more credible to you than references to BOOKS. holy cow. are you unable to leave your house or something?

Why, exactly, are they a sham? You can read Obama's books yourself and see that the email in question distorts statements, makes statements up, and peddles in absolute lies.
Do you believe they are slanted left simply because they call out this long string of conservative propaganda lies and that, in turn, challenges "your team"?
I'm asking seriously. Not trying to provoke you. I just don't understand how you discredit a source that simply identifies lies being spread against Obama (and Palin and McCain and all the others, though conservatives do seem to perpetuate a lot more of these lies).

LMAO! Is it online for free? You do realize that the book can be purchased at Barnes & Noble?
you make me laugh, you point me to an article on snopes about snopes. That's real hard evidence you came up with. What a joke.
