Sorry are you saying that Americans are incapable or too inneficient to adopt a system that has been adopted by every other indusrialised Country without them going broke?
Are you in fact saying Americans are too dumb to be able to give every citizen healthcare?
47 million Americans in America with NO healthcare or Americans going bankrupt to get health cover IS WRONG...... VERY WRONG!

Let me ask you for your opinion this issue: There are MILLIONS of Americans who file Bankruptcy each year - not because of Medical bills but, IRS Taxes. They file Bankruptcy to discharge their tax debt, in whole or in part, owed to the United States Government.

Is this acceptable to you?

I have read the posts, seen the scaremongering and realise thatthe American public have not got the faintest idea of how a UHC works.
They are being manipulated by the right and the insurance companies.
So to your question....... No ...neither you or many of the American public understand a UHC.
Yet you try to convince people on here that you understand a UHC...you don't!

That is not what I asked you.

Do you support filing bankruptcy to discharge the monies owed the Federal government for taxes?

I'm sure many more file bankruptcy because of medical bills.

Since no one is considering the establishment of a national healthcare service, comparisons with the British system is totally irrelevant, or more simply put a red herring.

Medical bills FACTOR in bankruptsy.
If these cases were looked at it might be found that these people were already overextended for other reasons.
I believe the average was $12,000 so less in some cases and more in others.
Half the cost of a new car.
Also, many that file would prefer to discharge their debts than pay them over years, as the rest of us might do.
Also consider some with medical bills may also have lost the ability to work so have no income
