you fools seem to escape the facts. The wars in Afghanistan & Iraq were not of Obama's making and he walked into this BS by being elected.
This is not his Vietnam but we now have to figure out how do we leave Afghanistan in a stable state.

I thought Obama was all for being in Afghanistan but against Iraq? Wasn't he saying how we should be focusing on Afghanistan, etc., etc., etc. even back when he was Senator Obama? Maybe I misunderstood him.

The only fools in this thread are those who claim to see a difference between Johnson's attempting to prosecute a strategy-free war in Vietnam while proposing massive social change in America, and Obama's pursuing the same tragic course in Afghanistan and on the domestic front.

Mr. Obama - the man who thought that Iraq was the wrong war and Afghanistan for some reason is the right one. ooops.

Any idea why he thinks that?

Other than stupendous ignorance? In which case, perhaps someone else ought to reply....

The US will never "Win." Ask the Russians. Even a million US soldiers won't "conquer" Afghanis. They don't want to be occupied. I admire warriors who can run invaders out of their homeland. The US wouldn't like being invaded. Would it ? (as in invaded like Iraq was invaded.) We would not be dancing, and throwing flowers, believe me.
