Get a clue.
Please clue me in. What is the far reaching impact of folks raising children in a stable loving home?

I am sure even with 21 people in their family their carbon footprint is less than Al Gore's.

My problem with the Duggars is they present an unrealistic picture of the Quiverfull movement. MOST Quiverfull families are very poor and do not have the resources that these folks have.

Here is a story that shows that:

Quiverfull, the patriarchy movement, religion, Christianity | Salon Life

The Duggars are lucky in the fact they can do this all while getting money from TLC. They didn't always have their tv show but they did have several specials. They get a ton of freebies for being on said show which is fine but those that say they do it on their own are ignoring this fact. They WERE building their own house but it was taking too long and TLC came in and finished it. They also got it furnished by TLC (with a designer). IF they are the poster family for the Quiverfull movement, they ought to live like other families of such size so they can present an accurate picture of what the lifestyle is for the majority of the followers.

I plead ignorance on the quiverfull movement and to the Duggars really. I may have watched an hour of the program in total. The reality is who cares about, TLC, quiverfull, religion, carbon footprint etc. Isn't the bottom line how these kids are doing? By all outward signs they appear to be doing just fine.

Already explained it.

Nothing "stable" about this family.

I DO think overall the Duggars are doing well but it isn't typical (and at what cost?). I am frankly horrified that I know so much about them. Kinda like a car accident, I cannot turn away. The daughters pretty much raise the kids once they are done breastfeeding, they do the majority of the cleaning, organizing, making the family run.

I think that IF this family of many is preaching about how this is the way doG wants you to live, they need to show how the majority of the Quiverfull live. Not anywhere close to this family.

I just wish the Duggars had a little respect for the world beyond their own selfish obsession with procreation. The impact of their lifestyle choices on the planet are unconscionable.

Imagine if we call gave into this level of gluttony to fulfill an emptiness within...

There actually is a medical condition for this compulsive need to procreate. It's treated as an addiction.

Aren't you guys wondering just when one of those daughters will either A. become a stripper or B. a porn star? You know it's gotta happen. What are the odds w/that many kids, not to mention how completely sheltered from real life they are.

Wow, alot of presumptions on here about this family. I don't agree with having that many kids but I also don't believe in pushing beliefs on others; too much of that already going on in the political world.
