Porn or no porn, Free speech and freedom belong to everyone no matter how disgusting some of you might think it is. I see all this new laws in other countries for regulation of the internet and it is the typical nanny state socialist facist ideas in AMERICA people try to run away from. First it's porn followed by taxes, followed by political messages and monitoring everyones active connections. Then creating a black market, and criminal activity and bigger government to monitor PORN!!!! So they will pay a large group of people to monitor chats, and emails and media files of your grand kids to make sure it;s not porn. GIVE it break people be an adult if you see porn on the internet dont use the internet. The internet is not a right and you dont need it to survive. But the internet might be an option to not the brainwashed by the mainstream media. Another example of this we have idiots on washington who dont even have a computer or even use one and or the internet now making laws about the internet.

You can achieve the regulation some might want without ever requiring participation. Make a domain list of ".fam" for instance, create a policy that requires only those who follow that policy be allowed to register for that domain. Then, create tools that only search within that top domain and you have essentially created a regulated environment without ever infringing on the rights of those who use the internet.
This way, if I were to search within the ".fam" domain, I could expect only that which is within the required policy. There would be no surprise pop ups for a porn add, no misleading scams or the like. It would all be governed by the organization to which those agree to register and recieve that top level domain identifier.
Problem solved, everyone is happy, no restrictions and people get what they expect. This can work for many areas of focus too. Imagine being able to search the internet in a more organized fashion without having to create cryptic search scripts to lesson the barrage of content that has no relevance to the search topic and often is nothing more than scams and deviously implemented pop ups.

Are you all for raising taxes that will be needed to build all the prisons necessary to put people in who look at porn?

Yes, I do support eliminating porn from the interent. And everywhere else, for that matter. Porn is not anyone's "protected speech", it's immoral printed photos...

Wow, I have not read all responses but here is mine. While I lived in Europe porn was every where you looked not hidden as was prostitution and alcohol. The countries bragged about having almost no sex crimes and few problems from alcohol as they saw it. If you are a socialist in the western european sense you should not say a word against any of the three!!!!!!!! I do not see a problem as long as you do not hurt me or mine, then, well that is a different kinda blog.

Immoral by YOUR standards, not mine. There's absolutely nothing wrong with mainstream consenting adult-to-adult porn. I think it's "immoral" for you to try to make me kowtow to your version of morality.

lol good luck eliminating it.And you'll create more frustrated people with no sexual outlit which will equal more abuse and crime.
Whether you think it is moral or not, frankly it is none of your business what two consenting adults do as long as it doesn't effect you.
Please spare me from your nannying.HMMM,let me think about something you like so I can ban it.

Wow! Men shouldn't look at porn?
I guess I'm not enlightened....I know my husband has looked at porn in the past. Pretty sure he'd like to look at it in the future.
Guess what: THAT'S NORMAL! Men look at boobs, butts, legs, etc. That's what they do! At least normal men. Who haven't been neutered!

That's what I tried telling them about downtown Pittsburgh! They took away my cultural district, which was enjoyed by many, and replaced it with one that is claimed to be enjoyed by very few.
(Of course this was done by the same people who decided to build a prison on our prime downtown riverfront property.)
