I support porn over Americas sick and twisted obsession
with violence. I find it ironic how many people have no
problem with these disgusting 'CSI' type shows or good,
wholesome hockey games and other sports that combine
salatious exploitation of women and violence and also see nothing
wrong with the Constitution being raped by a crazed religious
psycho who claimed God told him to 'Get Saddam' but go nuts
at a display of the human body.
More Flat Earth, puritanical hypocracy.

I didn't read previous replies because 9 pages is a lot to read. That being said..
I support stopping children porn and bestiality porn due to the fact that those are non-consensual acts.
In terms of regular 'ole porn? Heck no. What people want to do behind closed doors is their business.
I feel bad for the women in those videos, because realistically, women with high self esteem typically aren't having sex with strangers for money, but it boils down to it being their choice. You can't force someone to make responsible choices in their life or seek counseling for past issues.

There's nothing wrong with porn. If you don't like looking at it, don't look at it and mind your own business.
What this issue is really about is whether or not one person has the right to restrict another's right to look at something or not. It's the old I don't like your morals so I'll force mine on you bit.

Blatant contradiction. Restricted speech is not free.

Not a fan of the "slave/sex trade" that does go on all over the globe. Child porn is absolutely the worst mark on our society. I do think it (adult porn) should be taxed and taxed again and again.

I'm against all porn, graphic violence and anything that tears down society...how anyone could think porn is okay is beyond me....when interviewed just before his execution, mass murderer Ted Bundy was what was the one thing that started him on the path of mass murder and rape - his answer: Pornography.

And do you think he did a pretty good analysis on himself then? Like, if he had not been exposed to porn he probably would have been one of our most upstanding citizens of all time??
That darn porn!

I do find pornography morally objectionable but my main concern is that most women in porn movies are NOT consenting adults but exploited. Pornography is a lucrative business closely linked to organised crime, human trafficiking and drugs. Hundreds of thousands of women are kidnapped, and bought every year in developing countries so that some people can get their jollies. Behind the harmless facade lurks a very dark and sinister business and it is really naive to think that most women do chose to do this. Amnesty International has been doing a lot of research into human trafficking and most of these women ( a lot underage and some children) are abused in ways most people could not comprehend. Women are taken from their homes, sold and gang raped repeatedly to make them docile. Their families and children are threatened with death. All so that some guy can have a bit of fun. I find that morally repugnant and repelant. Call me old fashioned but sex is a lot more fun to do than to watch.
Too many people are really flippant about a serious issue affecting the lives of millions. Obviously though nobody really cares and still thinks it is fine to support an industry with such a terrible track record. I find it so sad.
