As I stated above, you folks take things too literally. Of course you can share a single bank account with anyone you want. "Bank Account" was meant to cover all things financial - as in every financial benefit accorded by marriage. I didn't figure i'd have to spell out every financial vehicle available to make my point.
But my larger point remains - gay marriage is all about the benefits. That's what we've been hearing for years. Trying to imploy semantics to make it seem like benefits aren't code-word for financial gain is simply not being honest.
You're wrong. Gay marriage is also about love, just like straight marriage. Thats what you people don't understand, they want to get married for the same reasons everyone else does, but you don't want to let them because ________.
I say its a good thing. Any excuse to party is good by me. Plus....you know gay guys always have a smokin hot single girlfriend or two, so the reception should have a good taco:sausage ratio.
LOL since I'm female their smokin hot girlfriends don't interest me. I've had several male gay guys I worked with and they were alot of fun, and if your female you can talk to them just like you do with your female friends.
You might be interested to know that those charming folks from the Westboro Baptist Church decided to grace us with their presence today. From what I can tell, their harassment of our high school students didn't have much of an effect, except that it helped raise tens of thousands of dollars to support gay rights.
the worst thing anyone can do is yell back at them, or worse, assault them.
i've mentioned before that i am pretty sure that their whole "church" is a moneymaking scheme - their messages seem carefully picked to tick off absolutely everyone. several people in the family (i think one member of the "church" is not in the family) are lawyers, and they sue the pants off of anyone who gets mad enough to assault them.
I didn't hear anything about Vermont being destroyed by fire and brimstone.

The economy isn't here. The state was going through a true financial meltdown while the legislature devoted their time to homosexual marriage rather than the economy and budget. It's still collapsing, say goodbye to the dairy industry in VT before it's entirely gone. This will likely cost several politicians their jobs next election. If it were put to a vote it would have lost, and they wasted precious time on this when they should have been working on the budget and economy. Lots of people very angry with the state govt. at the moment.
