Well Cap you beat me to it. My link to the same story is:

Michelle Malkin : Obama's Classroom Campaign: No Junior Lobbyist Left Behind - Townhall.com

Of course, Malkin is one of the writers that lefties who belong to the self-enforced ignorance group don't bother to read anything that she and others they group with her because they may well lose some of that self-enforced ignorance.

At any rate we both wasted our time with these attempts to help them learn what this may be about.

Maybe Obama wants to tell them to be good little debt slaves. He plans to double the national debt in 10 years.

"In the first independent analysis, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office concluded that President Obama's budget would rack up massive deficits even after the economy recovers, forcing the nation to borrow nearly $9.3 trillion over the next decade."
Bush vs Obama Deficit - washingtonpost.com (includes deficit comparison chart)

$9.3 trillion. It took the U.S. all the way up until 2008 to reach the $9.3 trillion national debt mark. Obama wants to double that debt in just 10 years.

Other than some of the creepy language, it's essentially a lesson in goal setting. But the being "held accountible" and how you can help the president statements are crossing the line.
I have to hold out for the beginning of the official brain washing of our children as being involved here. What kind of goals he asks of them is one thing that I am concerned about. I don't see how anything like this can have a positive effect on PreK up to about Grade 4 but then my training and experience in education was all secondary in nature. I did serve as a principal of an elementary school many years ago, three years in the late 1960s, but I would have insisted that the teachers and I view this show before we allowed those kids of that age to see any part of it.

Obama speech is all apart of of the socialist and communist idealogy. Start them early.... you will never change the minds of those old enough to know history but you can get those young enough and change the hearts and minds of those who dont know the truth. Free heatlhcare, government dependancy and how its important to listen and understand your government officials.
Big Brother and Big welfare just another part of the plan. Its called control. To control the masses you must find those who are stupid. Society in america is full of stupid people you can that the media and government for that one. After all who has been running education for the last 50 years. Government, public schools.
In comes the department of education the NEA and the rest of the socialist to guide us to complete submission.
Obama is nothing more then a slogan. Bush was the man who gave us the Fear and homeland security and Obama is here to move it right along to the next phase.
Government control and nothing more.

Exactly. It will be like career day. The field of community planner can be introduced. Start them young. Hand out the Rules for Radicals textbook and teach the salute! Never waste a teachable moment.

Oh it doesn't matter that the good jobs aren't out there once these kids get a great education.

It's an equal opportunity thing. If we have a line for brown shirts, there must be one for non brown shirts, and that would be bad because then we would notice that people are different. But if we make them all brown shirts, no problem. Outcome-based education is a lovely thing.
