I don't blame you in the scenario you mention, but if I was in Wal Mart and somebody slapped my child, I would beat the living hell out of them in the middle of Wal Mart and then press charges.
I would have to agree. He is lucky daddy was not in the store at the same time.
The lady really should have gone immediately to the manager's office and asked for the police. That crusty old man was liable to kill the baby and the mom. It was VERY stupid and selfish of her to continue shopping, while an innocent kid's life was possibly on the line.
The man and the woman both need their heads examined.
I have raised 4 of them- still have one at home. I always gave my kids a longer leash than many had but if they broke the rules, punishment was going to happen. When they were young they got a whuppin when it was needed but it was not needed often. Usually if they get a good whuppin and are taught the limits, they won't need another one for quite awhile if ever. When one of my boys was 4 one Saturday he decided he was not gonna dress for church because my wife was out of his favourite cereal. So he huffed and puffed and refused to do what he was told. And I got my belt and gave him a good whuppin and after that I had no more trouble with him. None. He was a good student in school, got suspended only once in 12 years (for a fight he didn't start) and is in the Navy today. And I told him a few months ago that whuppin hurt me more than it did him and he understood.
