I have to wonder what goes on in the minds of the officers who do these things.. And how about the medical personnel that performed the cath? No questions asked? Wonder who gets to pay the medical and lab fees

This is ridiculous. In this situation, Obama would have every right to say the officer acted "stupidly".

Maybe the officer just really, really, really needed this DUI bust to make quota for the month?

Stupid cops, I hope they get fired, and the city has to pay for pain and suffering.

I don't know the whole facts, maybe the man was being belligerant, but it makes no difference, no excuse for this.

Yeah, I am sure this guy was just a pleasure to work with. One sided story.

Try to let the jury deciede his civil case before passing judgement.

There are bad cops, and thats why there are lawsuits.

19 year old boy/man arrested after allowing 6 detectives to search his home because he was supposedly named as an accomplice in robberies he did not commit. Arrested after they did not find anything and when released the arrest report stated that they had recovered stolen property that was not ever there! This is the Bakersfield Police Department! When he got home his mother had blogged what had happened on at least 10 local sites, including the Bakersfield Californian, and all sites blogs were banned within 12 hours of posting! When you look up the Bakersfield Police Department on Google you will find that in Wikipedia it even states that they are known for being corrupt! Had this young man known they were corrupt he would have denied them access to his home...as it is he has taught his younger siblings not to cooperate with the police and to never allow them access to your home. Always ask for an attorney, even though they denied him one 5 times and he had to agree to plea to a misdemeanor to even get out of jail and visit his mother in the hospital from a heart attack from what had happened! Never again will this family be swindled by the good ol' BPD! They are the most awful police department in the world! Welcome to Kern County!!
