Having difficulty understanding there's a difference between flying on a pole on the lawn and flying over the White House?
Anyplace on the White house lawn is unacceptable, it is a communist country. Aside from that, the only flag that should ever fly on the property of the White house is the American flag.
Communist country? I wonder why Republicans cry "socialism OH MY GOD communism" but have nothing against doing deals with China for business.
I thought we should not support their country! They are communist! How come everything is made in CHINA?!?!?!?!??!?!
And to the OP-You READ this whole thing about China's flag. The media has not said a word about this. Wonder why? MAYBE BECAUSE IT IS NOT TRUE! But of course you all always want to do anything to smear President Obama.

Ooooooooooooooooooh, it's a communist country
And HOW many US $$$ worth of trade do we do with that communist country?
How many Americans are employed due to trade with that communist country?
How many US companies profit from trade with that communist country?
How many "Made in China" products do you own? How much support have you given that communist country?
Flying a flag on the lawn is merely a photo op, a part of public/diplomatic/business relations. If it goes against the mistaken belief the Universe revolves around the US, too bad.
I've seen one story about this flag of China's being flown over our White house.
I haven't seen even one. How about a link to the one you've seen.

But, never, ever, has another country's flag been flown on the White house lawn.
You not only don't do any research, you don't even read the links provided or, apparently, the thread to which you are posting. I pointed out 3 times (IIRC) that the Chinese flag was flown on the White House lawn in 2006 under the Bush administration. And other posted information -- quotes and links -- which show that fly other countries flags is a fairly common occurrence during visits from other heads of state.
But don't let facts get in the way of what you believe.
I've seen one story about this flag of China's being flown over our White house. The news media hasn't said a word, yet.
you obviously didn't read this thread then. the only source reporting this story (besides bloggers repeating the story) is a chinese newspaper. the chinese government (they have a state-run media) has a history of distorting the nature of their state activities in the u.s.
from that bastion of liberalism and obama-worship, fox news:
China Daily, citing other media reports, claimed the president of the Fujian Association of the United States had been granted permission to hoist the flag "in a ceremony in front of the President's residence.
A ceremony, indeed, will take place. But it won't happen on the White House grounds -- rather, on the Ellipse, on the other side of E Street from the presidential residence.
China Daily's report... set off howls of protest on the Internet and among conservative talk show hosts despite failing to receive confirmation from the White House.
....the Chinese flag has flown on White House grounds before, in April of 2006, when President Hu Jintao visited then President George W. Bush.In fact the current controversy is reminiscent of that visit. The Chinese insisted it was a state visit, despite U.S. assurances it was only an official one.

And even that source doesn't say the Chinese flag with fly over the White House as the subject line in this thread claims.
