Again, so he is incapable of "pushing" his own side to get things done? When is he going to start? When he's up for re-election? After the recession is over?

Really? The part of being president is to lead the country and push, not sit back and cry because people on your own side of the aisle wont support your programs and then blame the other side... If the man was any type of leader he could ram the whole healthcare bill through in pieces, rewording what it took to get the bills passed and then changing them later..

Wow, one of the most pathetic government in Washington we have ever had, which makes me just THRILLED with excitement..

You say he's doing nothing.

The fact he irks Uptighty-Righties in so many ways convinces me he must be doing something right.

bush was a global corporatist and obama is a global corporatist. i don't know why people have trouble seeing it. i guess it is because he is talking all the time!

we still have no rules for wall street and the derivatives keep growing and bailed out companies are again taking big risks for the potential of big profits. the banks are still undercapitalized and holding toxic assets.
we still are fighting 2 wars (iraq and afghanistan) and are now getting involved with both pakistan and colombia.
we have rising unemployment, the worst in 26 years, and no one is addressing that, yet we hear happy talk about the jobless recovery!
we have a taxpayer funded stimulus and nobody seems to know where the money went.
we have a federal reserve which refuses to tell how they spent the money and nobody is congress is pushing the audit the fed bill!
we have geithner talking about a world currency and actually steps being made in that direction and our country seems to be ignoring those developments. i guess the state of the dollar (which means so much to the rest of us) means very little to this government.
we are giving taxpayer money to the IMF who, in turn, is talking about a global currency to replace the dollar, potentially this year.

See, thats where your wrong.. Some say he's a socialist, he is indeed a socialist simply by looking up the word "socialism" in the dictionary for proof.

Facist, possibly, if you dont want to ignore all of the czars put into place without approval by Congress..

One can be any/all of these things, and still accomplish nothing.. Thankfully..

Perhaps the man lacks the experience and knowledge of how things work in Washington to get things passed through and you need to continue to make excuses for him.

Gibbs, is that you? You have to be either Obama, Pelosi or Gibbs. They are the only other ones that drag Bush around as much as you. You've been dragging Bush around for 8 months now. Aren't you getting tired of it?

I know....when you have nothing else to say and when backed into a corner you have been instructed to throw Bush's name out again.

Good job there Gibbs.!

On the contrary, the Dems are afraid to ram it through because they know it won't work - research Canada's and the U.K.'s health care problems for more info. The Dems don't want to take the blame when the rammed through health care plan blows up in their faces, so they're trying to drag Repubs onto the sinking ship with them. It's not going to work. Repubs and the more astute Dems are more than happy to sit by and watch the toe-the-party-line Dems self-destruct.
