In the end this guy was his started his own problems. The real question is why would obama even consider him with his history. One has to wander who is vetting these epople ;as its like one hit after another to obama's judgement.
Incapable of understanding the HYPOCRISY here or just dedicated to maintaining it?
Your the one who brought up the fact that the president created/took part in a war, THE PRESIDENTS JOB..

Where in the constitution does the president have the authority to hire "advisors" to leglislate and write laws that ANY of the "advisors" have been hired to do? MANY of them override state rights and are not the authority of the president or the federal government..

I think one needs to relearn the rights and responsibility of the federal government. Try re-reading the Constitution, particularly the parts which limit the federal governments authority.. Anyone here who knows where the obligations and limits of each branch of government can rightfully determine who the fool is here..

I wonder how it is the NeoConfuseds are so willing to believe someone like Qaddafi, KNOWN to have led a government that sponsored the mass murder of Americans, can change but absolutely refuse to accept the possibility that an American might've changed over time?
Arent you the one who just provided a link from a website where your being told "what to think"?
And Glenn did not mis-represent what Obama claimed. You lack the ability to seperate paragraph A from paragraph B, did they teach you in school what a pause meant when you were in school?
? what, the white house? everything in there can be checked, followed up on. Problem is you have to be "allowed" to go there
Oh God, yes Glenn did, and he surely knew he was doing it, and he and his owners are counting on you not checking it out. I just gave you Obama's words that show what he meant by "far enough", and links to his actions that prove he meant what he said. I cant keep showing you. If you dont understand by now you might as well stick with Glenn.
[SIZE=2]To "LauraC: This is an incredibly misleading and unfair slur on a distinguished oncologist. Dr. Emanuel's article was expressly limited to the special case of scarce medical interventions - such as a limited supply of transplant organs or new vaccines where there there are more qualified recipients than there are donors. It says so in the very first sentence of the article. You chose to leave out of your post the fact that his article was limited to organ donations and scarce vaccines. Why did you decide to do that?
And, by the way, don't you think it would have been helpful if your readers had known that Dr. Emanuel was one of the leading opponents of assisted suicide. Of course, that would have blown a large hole in your thesis. Better to simply mislead.

It's not misleading to give a link to what he said in his own paper. I happen to think you shouldn't apply his age criteria of not treating the very young or the elderly because you either think they aren't productive members of society yet and you haven't vested that much resources in them (the very young) or they have passed their usefulness (elderly) in the case of scarce medical conditions. I'm one of the ones who thinks, for example, the CDC's decision not to give priority H1N1 vaccines to people over 64 who have health conditions associated with higher risk of medical complications from influenza is pure age resource bias right out of the Emanuel playbook. I think anyone who has health conditions associated with higher risk of medical complications from influenza ought to get priority treatment.
PS - I guess Rev Wright never said it either, right?
Find any documentation of Rev. Wright using the term whitey. The people I hear using it the most are all from the right wing who are trying to enhance their status as victims.
