yes but all those foreign companies sell here. there is no world market.
no global economy. when we stop buying they stop selling.
we need to make what we buy, we need to stop signing for stuff and start paying for stuff.
have some tomatoes.
I fail to get onboard with the sky is falling mentality.
Ironically, "change" is what is supposed to fix this country, and the OP rants about "fear mongering" on the right in this post, yet; the entire Obama platform is based around one huge scare tactic... this post included.
If you are going to lash out against the Bush administrations supposed use of fear mongering to push an agenda, don't do it yourself to push your own agenda.
President Obama has an unfettered congress, the legislative and executive branch of government is one the same team for petes sake. Stop pointing at the right and screaming. That tactic won you the election but as the polls seem to note, it isn't going to work to explain the utter disaster at the attempted "changes".
When Bush was in office, he was emphatic "These things take time." Obama is supposed to wave a magic wand all by himself, and fix the mess Bush left us. And it's a big war debt. Think of the $ we might have had he not invaded Iraq.
Nice try..but the argument doesn't hold water..we don't care what the slackers in the rest of the world think. By the way, the erosion of America has been happening for years. We no longer make anything thanks to Clinton pushing NAFTA. We will sell our intellect..yeah thats the ticket...thats about all we will have left is our thoughts soon....

Tell ya what. Why don't you get out that calculator of yours, figure up the total war debt. Subtract it from the national debt, and tell us if we have any money left over to pay for UHC and all of the other big-government programs that have spawned from the Democratic-led Congress and Administration.
I look forward to seeing your de facto balance sheet. According to your logic, the cup should runneth over with cash.
Watching America Implode? Seems that way some days. The usual culprits, greed on Wall Street and racism in politics.

We spend, roughly 533 BILLION dollars a year on defense. Its only our second highest expenditure, right behind Social Security. Of course, Social security actually brings in more money then it spends. You can blame the Federal Government for putting your SS dollars into the general fund, otherwise SS would be doing just fine. Can't say that about our military spending.

Stay tuned for the bellicose rebuttal......
