Because the kids were not all kool aid drinkers and in awww of the presidents speech but had nothing against it either....you are calling this a disorganized school?

First of all are all these kids in this class doing a AP course in High School which proofs that they are willing to take higher classes than the average freshman or student.

IMO the speech wasn't bad but should be addressed to kids who are in juvenile centers and not in school.

Then by your logic only pregnant teens should be talked to about protected sex. Jesus Christ.

Why do you doubt this. All classes in a similar course are getting the tests on the same day to avoid kids giving info out to other students...so to be fair all test were cancelled since not all have the course at the same period of the day.

I forgot to ask if the student who is in his class and 5 months pregnant (still attending school btw) was attending today and listening!

My point of this was these kids do not care. They will not remember one sentence of this speech by next week. They will have played in their soccer games, done their home work, gone to practice, etc...

The speech itself was fine, regardless of the source.
It just will not make any difference in these kids lives. None.

For one thing, it's peculiar that all the tests in the entire school had to be canceled because of the president's 15 minute, lunchtime speech.

It's your misuse of the term "kool aid drinkers" that makes me gloss over most of what you say. Plus the constant mention of AP courses...everyone I know took AP courses and it's not relevant to the discussion so I guess you think it's bragging? Anyway, it's over. Let's find another topic K?

there are some very rude posters in here who get their satisfaction from intraweb snickering at people. It's childish and absolutely pathetic, but a way of life for some unfortunately. Too bad they don't put a little effort into actually researching things instead. You can accomplish a lot more when you are actually informed.

Schools rearriange schedules all the time for lots of reasons. This was planned far enough in advance that nobody was caught by surprise and all schedules would have been adjusted.
