What news sources are objective in their analysis?

My list:

The Economist
Christian Science Monitor
BBC

All others have a slant - MSNBC, FOX, talk radio, and the internet. I'd add CNN to my list but I know many would disagree.

I do not agree with the BBC being unbiased. NPR - any company depending upon public funding isn't unbiased. They will go the way of their supporters.

I will check out the Christian Science Monitor and the Economist. Thanks for the info.

I don't think there is an unbiased news source. The best way to get news in my opinion is to get it from several different sources (not interconnected networks) and draw parallels. Or go witness it yourself.

EVERYONE has an agenda. If you recognize the agenda and can filter it yourself you just might get close to the truth.

One of my favorite lines from the movie Absence of Malice was:

"We know how to write the facts, we don't know how to right the truth."

What is objective? Frankly I don't think that there is any such animal.

The Economist is the Wall Street Journal of the U.K. Very conservative political slant. Never met a banker they didn't like. For non-business or non-political stuff, what the Economist considers "news" is often months after the fact.

PBS only identifies two points of view on any subject matter. Misleading on that account.

PBS also tends to see only BIG organizations as players in political goings-on.
