Rep. Wilson is known for his overt confrontational behavior.

Wilson's rallying cry - Glenn Thrush - POLITICO.com
//
House Majority Whip James Clyburn, a South Carolina Democrat, said the remark was the latest in a long line of political attacks by Wilson.

Joe Wilson took our state's reputation to a new low. I thought Mark Sanford had taken it as low as it could go, but this is beyond the pale," Clyburn said.

"Joe is very confrontational," he added. "He held his first town hall meeting three blocks from my house at my kid's high school. Now why would he have this town hall meeting in my congressional district, three blocks from my house in my kid's high school? It's not in his district.

That's the kind of guy Joe Wilson is. He loves confronting people. So he was confronting the president, just as he was confronting me."

I never in my entire life ever seen anything like this in Congress.

Ever!!!!

That was so direspectful for Wilson to make an outburst like that during a Presidential address to Congress.

Why don't the Repubs call Obama's Bluff.

Allow the President to practice what he preaches and if he changes what he saids, that will be an oppurtunity for Americans to judge him.

The arrogance from the Repubs is off the richter scale.

Is it Genuine or Political is the question?

LOL... I wonder how many Democrats receive the most from lawyers.
You do understand that not all lawyers are medical malpractice lawyers don't you. In fact, I would guess that they are probably less than 1% of all lawyers do medical malpractice.

Grand total is $233,912,817, I can't find another industry in that ballpark. Health Professionals, Insurance, Lobbyists and Pharmaceuticals combined do not equal that total.
If you look at the past results of previous years, you will see that in the past the four have contributed more to the republican party. They put their money on the winner. They are neither democrat or republican. They buy both with the same ease.

There is nothing inherently wrong with being confrontational. As long as it is at appropriate times!

good post.

Obama is not being truthful. He misleads, hints and sugggests in order to direct the audience into what he wants them to believe. It's about time somebody "called him out" on it (to use his own words from last night).
A direct approach is what's needed. The Republicans for the most part have been very concilliatory and non-confrontational and it gets them nowhere.
